No Miracle: What’s Next for Georgia?

Large-scale protests took place in Georgia following the announcement of the parliamentary election results. According to the Central Election Commission, the pro-Russian Georgian Dream party won this year’s elections in Georgia. We discuss the latest news from Georgia, its implications and impact on Ukraine with Volodymyr Kopchak, Head of the South Caucasus Branch of the CACDS and NGRN.

He has been working as a Head of South Caucasus Branch of the Center for Army, Conversion and Disarmament studies (CACDS, Kyiv, Ukraine). Volodymyr also is an expert in Georgian Strategic Analysis Center (GSAC, Tbilisi, Georgia) and expert in The Topchubashov Center (Baku, Azerbaijan).

– deputy Director of the CACDS;
– deputy editor in chief of Defense Express “Defense Industry of Ukraine” magazine;
– CACDS media projects coordinator; editor in chief of “Accent” magazine.

Summary of qualifications: Research, analysis; Analytical work in the field of geopolitics, external policy, informational security (countering propaganda), countering “hybrid” threats, military-technical cooperation, etc.; Publishing the CACDS bulletin “Challenges and threats: security review”; Organizing of international conferences, seminars, round tables; Experience in law-making process, including preparation of the offset law in military-technical cooperation sphere of Ukraine.
